A new administration council for the Alliance française du Guyana
« There is a new boy in town » announced former President of the Alliance Française of Guyana , Derek Archer on Friday 6th november during the general assembly. A new board of the administration council has been elected by its members.
The new president, Jean François Gerin thanked the former president for his service amongst the Alliance and highlighted the missions and coming actions of a sustainable Alliance Française offering high quality French classes and pushing for an inclusive way of bringing french /francophone culture into the Guyanese society.
On this occasion, representatives of the French embassy located in Suriname were present and offered a reception at the venue of the Alliance française. We certainly want to express our gratitude to the former committee for the accomplished work through these years and we wish all the newly elected members all the best with their mission to promote linguistic and cultural diversity in french guiana.

Located at 276 B on Peter Rose Street, Queenstown, Georgetown,The Alliance française was created in the 70s and is part of the Caribbean network of alliances. The structure offers French classes and will develop its activities to promote French culture and exchanges particularly in the fields of education, culture and sports into the Guyana Shield and the Caribbean area in partnership amongst others with the French Embassy in Paramaribo and actors of the French West Indies and Guyana.
